8 Reasons Virtual Training Software is Booming in Popularity

Here’s why organizations are leaning heavily towards the new mode of training – the virtual training software.

Training has become not less, but more important after this crisis.

A new survey of over 1,100 marketers by Econsultancy and Marketing Week shows that organizations have prioritized learning and development initiatives for employees during the lockdown.

93 percent of senior executives cited the ‘ability to rapidly train our workforce to be effective at working remotely’ as either a critical or important factor in staying competitive. And nearly 96 percent found that up-skilling the workforce through virtual training is either critical or important. Providing effective on-demand learning resources for remote workers featured as either critical or important for 90 percent of respondents.

It’s interesting to note that 55 percent of organizations already have some kind of virtual learning program in place for marketers, and around 17 percent are planning to introduce virtual learning for marketers soon.

Businesses can leverage these developments by making their employees ready for the new set of constraints, customer expectations, experience and needs in the emerging scenario. That is why virtual training software offers the right tools to equip their resources cost-effectively.

Advantages of virtual training software

  1. Less dependency on IT resources:

Access, delivery, and feedback are self-driven in virtual training software. This eliminates the need for constant support from the IT Department. Self-managed features and intuitive controls make it easy for users to plugin and get started.

2. Teams from multiple time-zones can take part and learn

Cloud and elastic capabilities of good virtual training software bring in anywhere and anytime access. Unlike a physical classroom, there is no wall of time, time zone, and the number of people in these sessions. Anyone can log in, log out, monitor and manage the training anytime and from any time zone.

3. Safe space to learn and practice

Since these tools are designed to cater to remote work needs, this solution fits perfectly for the current priorities of social distancing, hygiene, and safety. It is also hardened in every way to guard against loss of privacy, data, or security from any vulnerable spot.

4. Reduces the time taken to train internal teams

With smart virtual training software in place, organizations can start using new products or deploy new strategies without going through a learning curve that is too long. The pace is better and the outcomes are more profound with virtual training software.

5. Suitable for organizations of any size

Designed for flexibility, scalability, and a per-use model, these tools are best if an organization is not sure of the number of learners at any given time. They can scale up or down depending on specific training needs. This helps to keep training costs and overheads under check.

6. Instructor-friendly interface

The tools are designed with special care to empower the instructors. The interface is simple and does not take too much time to become familiar. At the same time, there is a lot of room to play with for any instructor who wants to add, modify or adjust learning goals and style into various sessions.

7. Student-friendly

The tools are very simple to understand and access. They give the learners a chance to enjoy training instead of drudging their way through it. They can be self-paced, engaging, and easy.

8. Makes ‘work-from-home’ productive

Work from home’ is not just a crisis hack. It is a mindset and a context that needs a different set of skills, readiness, capabilities, and confidence. Many roles and tasks can be new and tough in the beginning when handled remotely. Good virtual training software shows the employee ‘just how’ to go about it. Whether it is about delivering contactless training to customers or mastering a new app to tap technology during the crisis, it is better to keep your employees all prepped up.

It could be about any other business function. It could be about many more employees who are eager to learn the way of the ‘new normal’. All we have to do now is empower them with the right virtual training software.
